We aimed to create a modern media space in the library of the public institution “Pisochinsky Lyceum “Dzherelo” - a place where children, youth and adults could learn, discover digital skills, communicate and implement their ideas. For the old building of 1878, it was a chance to revitalize the premises and give the library a new lease of life. Previously, the librarian worked in a small corner meter by meter, and now it is a whole spacious room that has become a real center of learning and creativity.
The implementation of the project took place thanks to the close cooperation of the initiative group of teachers, parents and active residents of the community with the Agency. First, we discussed what kind of space children and young people need, collected wishes and formed a concept. The plan was then agreed with the chief librarian Mrs. Svetlana and the local authorities, purchased appliances and furniture, made repairs and set up the equipment. Each step was a living process - communication, consultation, finding solutions and the joy of having a small idea become a reality.
Today, the media space is equipped with an interactive whiteboard, laptops, multimedia equipment, printer and Wi-Fi. There are shelves for books, comfortable furniture and a place for groups and active residents to work. The space immediately became popular: 199 people already use it actively, and in total the project reached up to 500 people - students, parents and the community. This space gave children and young people the opportunity to master new technologies, and the older generation to improve digital literacy.
The main challenge is to equip the old building and make purchases in wartime conditions. It was possible to combine technical work with the needs of the community, attract proactive people and train the team to work together on a new space format. The main achievement is to see how the little corner of the librarian turned into a modern center that unites the community and opens up new opportunities for all.
The media space became a point of unity especially for the audience of the lyceum. Students learn digital skills, teachers try new techniques, and parents and residents can come, communicate, and implement their ideas. It is a place where people feel supported and understand that even a small initiative can change the life of the community.
The media space in the library of the Lyceum of the Pisochynska Hromada has become a modern center of learning and creativity, where everyone can realize their potential. The project gave new skills to students, teachers and residents, and showed an example of effective collaboration between the community, the initiative group, local authorities and donors. This space inspires further initiatives, strengthens faith in one's own strength, and demonstrates that even a small group of people can make a big difference for a community.
