💧 Clean water - sustainability of the community: a drinking water treatment point will be restored in Husarivka
How much does it cost to access clean drinkwater, when the water from the tap or well does not meet sanitary standards? For residents of Husarivka and Volobuivka, the issue of daily water supplyis directly related to the costs of the family budget and health safety.
The problem becomes especially palpable forolder people, families with children and internally displaced people, for whichregular purchase of imported water creates an additional financial burden.
💧 The initiative group “Chistavodytsia” undertook to solve the problem at the community level.Within the framework of the project “Clean Water - Community Sustainability” it is envisaged to restore and launch a stationary social point for free purification and bottling of drinking water.
To operate the point, they will purchase and installa reverse osmosis system with a capacity of 1 m³ per hour, an industrial membrane, a pre-filtration system, equipment for dosing an anti-scale and othernecessary components. To control the purification parameters, they will also purchase a water quality tester.
After installing the equipment, the team will carry outanalysis of the source water, start the system and organize a laboratory studyof purified water. The opening of the point for residents is scheduled for December 2026.
👥 It is expected that 630 residents of Husarivka and Volobuivka will benefit from the project. For them, the emergence of an accessible cleaning point will mean being able to collect a drinking water near the house for free, reduce the cost of its purchase and have moreconfidence in the quality of water for daily consumption.
An important condition for the sustainability of the initiative wasparticipation of the community itself. The local authorities have provided premises for the placement of equipmentand provides free connection to water and electricity networks. The initiative group undertakes the preparation of the premises, informing residents andalternation at the initial stage of the work of the point. It also provides for furthermaintenance of equipment, replacement of filters and control of water quality.
For a community facing problemswater supply, a reliable treatment system is of long-term importance. Its workwill depend on proper maintenance, regular quality control, and joint responsibility for the safety of equipment.
We will talk about the course of work and the launch of the pointwater purification in the following posts.
