🎠 In Zmiev, the central playground will be updated: space for play, development and joint discoveries
Childhood needs space. Places where you can run, invent your own rules, get acquainted, try new things andreturn home with adventure stories. For parents it is important to have a handrailpad where the child can have an interesting time, and they will have moreconfidence in its safety.
In Zmiev, the central playground of the park on the Soborny square has long needed updating. Part of the availableequipment is worn out, and the youngest children lack elements for sensory development, creativity and interaction with peers. In conditions of distance learning, limited communication and the relocation of families with children to the community, the need for accessible space for children's leisure is felt especially acutely.
👧 The initiative group “Moms of happy babies of the city of Zmiev” is working on the renovation of the site.Within the framework of the project “Arrangement of an interactive educational playground in Zmiiv” it is planned to purchase five types of modern play and interactive equipment:
🎠 Rope carousel for activemovement, development of coordination and balance.
🥁 Musical elements “Drums” and “Husly” to help children explore sounds and develop creative abilities.
🌼 Interactive conversationdevice “Multicommunication Flowers”, with which children will be able to communicate at a distance, get acquainted and invent joint games.
🏖️ Inclusive sandbox table, available for shared use by children with different physical abilities.
For kids, such elements openopportunities to explore the world through touch, sound and movement. For older children, it becomesan occasion to test their own strength, interact and negotiate. And for children with disabilities, they create more opportunities to join in joint leisure.
👨 👩 👧 👦 According to the estimates of the initiative group, more than 100 children and more than 100 families will be able to use the updated space.In the peak season, about 100 children will be able to use all new elementsdaily.
The project was implemented by the mothers themselves, who know the needs of local families and strive to change the environment in which their children grow up. The Zmiev City Council will join the work: it will providepreparation of the territory, installation and concreting of equipment, will provide the necessarymaterials. After installation, the game elements will be transferred to the balance of the utilityenterprise, which will be responsible for maintenance, technical inspections and repairs.
The playground, on which today there is a lack ofmodern opportunities for play, should become a place of children's laughter, firstacquaintances, musical experiments and joint discoveries. And for the community, the renewal of such a space will mean another opportunity to create an environment in which children of different ages and with different needs can spend time together.

The project is implemented by the NGO “Agency of Local Initiatives” on the initiative of the residents of the community and the support of the local authorities. The Ministries are implemented within the project “Strengthening the Resilience of Communities through the “Support for Community Initiatives” approach with financial support from the international humanitarian organization HEKS/EPER (Switzerland) in coordination with the IfF “Public Health Alliance “and with the financial support of Act Alliance.
