Individuals who have accommodated internally displaced people free of charge, other than members of their own family, are eligible for reimbursement.

Reimbursement covers expenses incurred in accommodating internally displaced people, provided there are no outstanding housing or utility bills.

The amount is calculated according to the number of days the accommodation was provided, starting from the date of arrival but no earlier than the date the person was registered as internally displaced.

What should a person hosting internally displaced people do?

  1. Apply to the responsible authority where the accommodation is located no later than the next working day after the guests arrive.
  2. Enter information about accommodation available free of charge on the Prykhystok website.
  3. Submit an application to the responsible authority within five days after the end of the reporting month.

On the day accommodation ends or the number of guests changes, submit an application reporting the updated list of people accommodated.

When submitting a paper application, the host must present:
  • an identity document;
  • a document confirming ownership or the right to use the accommodation, or a document confirming authority to represent its owner.
An electronic application must include copies of:
  • the host’s identity document;
  • a document confirming ownership or the right to use the accommodation.

What does the responsible authority do?

  1. After receiving the application, enter the information on the Prykhystok website.
  2. Create and update the register based on the application.
  3. Review the application within five working days of receipt and carry out checks if necessary.
  4. By the 12th of the following month, compile the information and submit the lists to the relevant military administration.

Regional military administrations and the Kyiv City Military Administration forward the compiled information to the Ministry for Regional Development and the relevant organisations to arrange funding for reimbursement.
