Where should you apply?

If you have all the necessary documents, you can apply for a pension at any Pension Fund of Ukraine service centre, regardless of the region. Your registered address and actual place of residence do not affect where you can apply.

Documents required to apply for a pension:

  • A passport.
  • A taxpayer identification number.
  • Documents confirming your pension insurance record.
  • A salary certificate covering 60 consecutive months before 30 June 2000, if you wish to provide one.
  • Bank account details.
  • An internally displaced person registration certificate, if applicable.
  • Documents confirming any special status.
  • A photograph for the pension certificate.
  • A marriage certificate if your surname has changed.

What are the payment deadlines?

Pensions are paid monthly, no later than the 25th of the month for which payment is due, in monetary form at the pensioner’s actual address in Ukraine stated in the application.

During martial law, pension payments may be made outside the usual deadlines. If necessary, the payment period can be extended beyond the 25th.

How do you receive a pension or financial assistance during martial law?

If you were not receiving your pension, other payments or subsidies through Ukrposhta, have not relocated and remain at your permanent place of residence, you can receive your pension in the usual way.

If the authorised bank cannot make the payment, the funds are transferred through another authorised bank. To receive your pension or assistance, visit any Oschadbank branch with your passport and taxpayer identification certificate.

If you temporarily change your actual place of residence, you can receive payments by transfer without opening an Oschadbank account or at a Ukrposhta branch. Notify the Pension Fund or social protection authorities of your change of address.

Provide the following details:

  • Your surname, first name and patronymic.
  • The address where you received your pension or financial assistance before March 2022.
  • Your passport details.
  • Your telephone number.
  • Your preferred payment method.
  • Your new delivery address.
  • The transfer code from the SMS message if you receive your pension by postal transfer.
If you have not decided where to receive payments and want to collect them at any available Ukrposhta branch, tell the operator.
