🍞 Unity Culinary Hub will work in Petrovsky. And its main result will not only be measured by baking
Imagine a person who has been living alone for a long time. Aborodin, who moved to a new community and is still looking for her social circle. Or a person in a hospital for whom a normal day passes between procedures and waiting.
Each of them has its own circumstances. But the support starts with very clear things: hot bread, a cup of tea, the familiar smell of baking and the feeling of being remembered.
It is around such an idea that the inhabitants of the Petrovsky Balakley community create “Unity Culinary Hub”.
🥖 In the premises of the local House of Culture there will be a culinary space where you can cook, learn, communicate and volunteer together. For his robot, professional equipment will be purchased, in particular, a convection oven, a dough mixer, a refrigerator cabinet and work tables.
But the most important part of the plan is how to use this space.
270 people are expected to receive support within the project.
🍞 For 35 older people whichneed additional attention, regular transfer of fresh bread andhomemade pastries is provided.
🤝 Culinary meetings are planned for 45 internally displaced people, which will help to make acquaintances, learn in the community and find common interests with local residents.
🧁 For 70 children and young peoplefrom 6 to 22 years old, volunteer workshops, art culinary events and themed tea parties are organized. Participation in joint cooking will givethe opportunity to practice teamwork, responsibility and mutual assistance.
A separate direction of work involves the transfer ofhome baking to 120 people undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Behind each of these directions there isa specific need. It is important for someone to have access to fresh pastries, someneed new acquaintances, and for someone the opportunity to join a useful cause andprove their own involvement in the life of the community.
When baking becomes a common thing, care takes on a concrete form.Someone kneads the dough, someone helps in the master class, someone prepares a program for people who desperately need attention. So gradually a circle of mutual assistance is formed, inwhich residents can support each other.
The initiative is led by active residentsPetrovsky Starostinsky district, who already have experience of working together. Last year, the team implemented the project “CinemaSpace”. Now her attentionis focused on cooking, intergenerational communication and systematicsupport of people who need it.
The implementation of the “Culinary Unity Hub” has begun. In front of the arrangement of space, installation of equipment and launchculinary meetings and volunteer activities.
