On 10 February, the Cabinet of Ministers established the procedure for reimbursing employers who hire registered unemployed people.
What types of reimbursement are available?
Reimbursement of the unified social contribution, up to twice the minimum insurance contribution, for employing people for at least two years who have additional employment guarantees and have been registered as unemployed for more than one month.
- A parent or person acting as a parent who supports a child under six.
- A person raising a child under 14 or a child with a disability without a spouse.
- A person supporting someone with a disability since childhood or a Group I disability without a spouse.
- Orphans and children deprived of parental care.
- People released after serving a sentence or undergoing compulsory treatment.
- People with ten years or less remaining until pension age.
- People aged 15 or older who may be employed with a parent’s consent.
- People deprived of their liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine, after their release.
- People registered as unemployed for more than six months.
Payments last for 12 months within a two-year period. Reimbursement cannot exceed UAH 2,948 per month.
Reimbursement of 50% of actual wage costs for hiring the following people for at least one year on a referral from an employment centre:
- People with disabilities who have not reached pension age.
- Combat veterans.
- People with no more than five years remaining until pension age.
Payments last for six months. Reimbursement cannot exceed UAH 6,700 per month.
Reimbursement of 50% of the minimum wage for hiring registered unemployed people in the following groups:
- People under 25 with a total pension insurance record of no more than 12 months.
- People under 35 taking their first job.
- People discharged from compulsory military or alternative service taking their first job after discharge.
Payments last for no more than six months. Reimbursement cannot exceed UAH 3,350 per month.
Who is eligible for reimbursement?
Employers that are business entities and hire people in the specified groups.
